The Hicksters had a lovely weekend. Friday night our Bible Fellowship class had a guys/girls night. Us ladies had a wonderful time consuming approximately 9 slices of pizza each (don't judge, it was thin slice), cookies, cake, chess bars, twizzlers and popcorn. I think there might have been a few grapes in the mix too. After partaking in such a nice, lady-like dinner, we watched Leap Year. It was a very cute movie with several "laugh out loud" parts, which is so my kind of movie.
Saturday afternoon Paul and I went to a couples baby shower. My favorite part was when we played the "name this baby food" game and I got to feed Paul a big 'ol spoon full of some orange mess with chunks in it. He was a good sport but he says our baby will never deserve anything like that and we will be making our own. I'll let you know how that goes in a few years.
We had a great sermon and Bible Fellowship class on Sunday. I just love our church and especially our class. There is nothing like a small group of young married couples who all love some Jesus and desire to serve Him together. As my good friend Alexandra would say, "Ya betta praise Him!" Church was followed by a nice long trip to Costco where we filled up on free samples, got some pictures printed and made a few purchases. We had a lazy rest of the day, which we don't get to do enough so it was so nice.
There was a showing yesterday morning at Paul's house. It's been months since someone has even looked at it, so we were encouraged. We are praying that this is the one who will buy the house but if it's not, praise God anyway. He is so good and we know He is faithful and has a hope and a future for us. So until then, we're gonna keep on keepin on.
